A guy I knew from high school recently passed away. He was a funny, laid back, and nice guy. Lots of people knew who he was and he made a lot of us laugh or entertained us. He was very talented and I'm proud to say that I know Doug Haney. Some people may think "You have no idea who he is, how can you say you miss him?" Well I think you are all a bunch of selfish bastards.
Just because some people didn't know him as well as others doesn't mean that we all can't be saddened or respect him. If I died and knew all these people that I didn't know so well were thinking of me after the fact, I would be so incredibly humbled. Think about how many people Doug's path crossed and how many of them who knew him for even a second are sad because someone so great died. Who are you to say that those of us who do not know Doug cannot miss him, pay respect or feel sorry for the friends and family? It makes me sick to see some one who says they are close to Doug be so selfish over his death, like they can be the only ones who cared or be sad. What would Doug think of all of this? Would he hog all the grief and sorrow if one of his friends died and people were saddened?

I am very glad to be the first person who give the first comment
